Perhaps the most celebrated ship of the English fleet, the Victory served as the flagship of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson during the famous Battle of Trafalgar. It was on her deck that Nelson received his fatal wound on October 21, 1805. This veteran of many sea battles is the oldest commissioned warship still afloat. Amazingly, she is still in service as the flagship of the British First Sea Lord.
